Jazz is structured to take your existing knowledge of dance further and make it in to a more commercial style reflecting the current styles used for professional work. For this reason the Jazz syllabus is only suitable for pupils who already study Modern and Ballet to at least grade 2.
The exam syllabus covers Bronze, Silver and Gold, with a 'Free Jazz' class once the students have reached Gold in Jazz or Foundation For Intermediate in Modern or Gold Star 1 in Disco/Freestyle. We now have a 'Free Jazz' class for younger pupils who have reached grade 4/5 Modern.
